The mission is to provide holistic, quality education to children from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through education, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and empower the next generation to achieve their potential.
The Manam Malarattum Trust was founded in 2006 by Mr. C. Saravanan, a devotee of Brahmaleena Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Arsha Vidya Gurukulum. The school, Dayananda Vidyalaya, was established in 2012 with Pujya Swamiji’s blessings and financial support.
Dayananda Vidyalaya currently serves 1,035 students from 70 surrounding villages. This includes 583 boys and 452 girls, with a significant number coming from economically disadvantaged communities.
The school extends scholarships and free education to 437 students who come from underprivileged families. These students receive support for tuition fees, uniforms, books, and meals. To date, 1,540 students have benefited from the scholarship program.
The restroom project is critical for ensuring hygiene and safety, especially for girls. Currently, there are only 15 restrooms for 1,090 students and 85 staff members. The new three-story restroom block will provide 40 toilets, changing rooms, and rest areas, catering to the needs of students and staff, and ensuring compliance with government hygiene norms.
For girls, the restroom project is transformational. It ensures access to clean, private, and hygienic facilities, enabling them to attend school regularly without the challenges of inadequate sanitation, particularly during their menstrual cycles. This fosters better attendance, confidence, and dignity.
Sandhya Gurukulam is an after-school program run by the Trust in 12 centres for students in grades 1 to 10. These centres provide supplementary lessons, yoga, sports, and creative activities, benefiting over 3,000 children since their inception.

The school has provided quality education to over 13,000 students since its inception. Many alumni have excelled in higher education and careers, breaking barriers of poverty and marginalization. Success stories include students pursuing professional degrees in medicine, engineering, and other fields.
